Chris is a dedicated and board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) licensed to practice in Texas and Iowa. He brings a strong educational foundation and a wealth of clinical experience to his work. Chris earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and completed a one-year PMHNP residency at the Dallas VA Medical Center. Before becoming a psychiatric provider, he spent six years working as a registered nurse in acute-care settings.
Chris has always been deeply passionate about mental health and believes that optimizing both mental and physical well-being is essential to improving overall quality of life. He adopts a holistic approach to care, focusing not just on symptoms but on the whole person.
In his practice, Chris specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions through evidence-based medication management. He also integrates supportive talk therapy and encourages lifestyle modifications including sleep hygiene, physical activity, and nutrition. For patients requiring more specialized psychotherapy, Chris ensures coordinated care through appropriate referrals.
